Sophie Aston is a UK-born singer-songwriter now based on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. After five years fronting a covers band, she has stepped into her own voice, and started a new journey telling her own stories.<\/p>\n
Raised on her father's classic rock records and her mother's love of poetry, her songs are honest, strong, and not afraid to bruise. Her debut single Better<\/em>, and her most recent release Stardust<\/em>, really delve into the gritty parts of humanity and how we navigate them. They capture the tension between vulnerability and strength, and reflect her own love of a weighty lyric, with immersive, emotionally resonant music.
