Kiwi music legends Split Enz featuring Tim Finn, Eddie Rayner, Neil Finn, and Noel Crombie reunited for their first show in 18 years, playing their 1,000th gig as a band in front of 45,000 rapturous fans at the Electric Avenue Festival in Christchurch last Friday.<\/p>\n

Live Nation is now thrilled to announce that Split Enz will perform arena shows in Wellington and Auckland this May.<\/p>\n

Presented by Live Nation and The Sound, the Forever Enz Tour will see the band perform shows at the TSB Arena, Wellington on Wednesday, May 6<\/strong>, followed by Spark Arena in Auckland on Saturday, May 9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Presale tickets will go on sale from Tuesday, March 3, with GP on sale Thursday, March 5 at 12pm.<\/p>\n

Formed in New Zealand in 1972 before relocating to Australia in 1975, Split Enz is widely regarded as one of the most important antipodean groups of the last 5 decades. The band\u2019s last live concert in New Zealand was on March 2008 at Vector Arena (now called Spark Arena). Split Enz were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005.<\/p>\n

During their recording career Split Enz released a string of era-defining hits across the late 70's and early 80's including I Got You<\/em>, I See Red<\/em>, Message To My Girl<\/em>, Six Months In A Leaky Boat<\/em>, History Never Repeats<\/em>, One Step Ahead<\/em>, and so many more. Their Number 1, 1980 album release, True Colours<\/em>, achieved multiple-platinum staus in NZ and was certified 5 x platinum in Australia, selling over 250,000 copies.<\/p>\n

This year marks the 51st Year Anniversary of the Split Enz\u2019s debut album Mental Notes<\/em>. That album, along with the band\u2019s entire catalogue is part of the\u00a0Enzyclopedia<\/em> re-release series - the first of which was released in November 2025 via Chrysalis Records globally and Warner Music locally in Australia and NZ.<\/p>\n
